Update Your Notification Settings
Nerd Culture has the platform set up so we don’t get bombarded with eleventy hundred e-mails a day, which I think most of us can appreciate. But in the short time that this group has been active I have noticed that people are missing information – or indeed chances to socialize – as a result. I recommend you update your notification settings so you get email notifications for social groups. To do that:
- Click on your profile in the top right, hover over “Account”, and then click on “Notification Settings”
- Scroll
down to the “Social Groups” and “Private Messages” section to toggle
your notification preferences for groups and messages - Toggle e-mail notifications for “New post in a group you’re subscribed to” and “New discussion in a group you’re subscribed to”
This way you’ll know when games, get-togethers, and any other festivities arise, even if the knowledge this site exists ends up in your mental junk drawer for a while.
